With Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kamal Haasan brings back 1986 classic Vikram

Kamal Haasan is celebrating his 66th birthday with his family and party members. On this special media, his gift to his die-hard fans is the teaser of his upcoming film. A few months ago, Kamal Haasan announced that he’d do a film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Today, the makers have unveiled the title.


From Kamal Haasan’s tweet, it is clear that the film’s title is Vikram. For the unversed, Kamal acted in an action film titled Vikram in 1986. Directed by Rajasekhar, the film starred Kamal Haasan, Sathyaraj, Amjad Khan, Lissy and Dimple Kapadia. The film is expected to go on floors in early 2021.

Kamal Haasan shared the title teaser and wrote, “Happy to launch the title teaser of my film today; directed by Mr @Dir_Lokesh Enjoy! (sic).”

Lokesh Kanagaraj, on his part, called Kamal Haasan his guru and dedicated the teaser to him. The teaser gives us the vibes of Last Supper. Anirudh Ravichander’s pulsating music and excellent camera work add intriguing vibe to the teaser.

The Kaithi director wrote, “Dear Guru..This is our humble gift to you sir.. Wishing you a very happy birthday. Please do keep inspiring us always sir @ikamalhaasan (sic).”
