Witcher is easily one of the greatest television shows spawned off from a computer game. Although the story is constructed by a Polish Author, Adrezj Sapkowski, fans mostly know it from the popular game series by CD Project Red. Season one ended on a rather mellow note with Geralt finally meeting Ciri after being towed away for miles. Witcher Season 2 of The Witcher will pack more punch as Ciri tries to learn the code of being a Witcher and becoming capable of protecting herself at all times.
Witcher Season 2 Release Date
The Witcher Season two will arrive on December 18 this year, a fortnight after Money Heist part two begins airing on the popular streaming platform. It is highly advised to thoroughly watch season one as Witcher is one of those few TV series that is weaved in a continuous pattern. A trailer is already released for the next season that showcases the adventures of Ciri and Geralt as they work together to face their foes.
Witcher Season 2 marks the acceptance of Ciri about her fate being intertwined with Geralt, which is the only thing keeping his will alive. Anya Chalotra’s character of Yennefer will be present in season two, as evident from the recent photo releases. How Yennefer survived is a lingering question but it is great to have the sorceress back on the show in season 2. Season one showcased a spark between Yennefer and Geralt, and we wish that it also continues in season two.
The stills and the trailer showcases Yennefer in a perilous situation, bound by shackles. Who caught her and what caused her revival is a plot best left to the writers of the show. A few suggestions by Reddit forums suggest that she was caught by a wild hunt, a group of mercenaries who ride on dead horses and are an omen of a brewing war and hatred among the kingdoms.

In the second season, Ciri and Geralt finally reach Kaer Morhen, where Geralt reunites with his Witcher guild and strengthens his battle skills. Meanwhile, Ciri also learns to wield the blade and learns a few techniques to prevent herself from the lingering threat. The Witcher Season 2 will break most streaming records on the first day itself as it has been two years since the last season aired on Netflix.
