Snowpiercer’s 10-episode sophomore conduct only ended last week, and in case you are wondering whether there’s going to be yet another season of the postwar thriller, then we’re pleased to inform you that the third season of this TNT and Netflix series is now in production.
One week before the show’s season 2 premiere past January, the network announced that it had renewed Snowpiercer for season 3. The announcement did not mention the specific episode order for the new year, but since the first two seasons of this series have 10 episodes each, it is likely that the third period will even have 10 episodes.
When Will Snowpiercer Season 3 Premiere?
In an interview with Collider, actress Mickey Sumner, that plays brakeman turned train detective Bess Until in the show, revealed that filming for season 3 started last March. Although the new season has no launch date yet, it will probably premiere sometime in 2022. However, since TV productions can be suspended at any given time due to the ongoing threat of this COVID-19 pandemic, there’s a possibility that season 3 will be released later than expected.
Who Will Be In Snowpiercer Season 3?
Main cast members Summer, Daveed Diggs (Andre Layton), Alison Wright (Ruth Wardell), Katie McGuinness (Josie Wellstead), Sam Otto (John”Oz” Osweiller), Sheila Vand (Zarah Ferami), Mike O’Malley (Sam Roche), Annalise Basso (LJ Folger), Steven Ogg (Pike), Rowan Blanchard (Alexandra”Alex” Cavil), and Sean Bean (Mr. Wilford) are expected to come back for season 3.
And even though it’s not apparent whether Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) is still living following the events of the season two finale, ” executive producer Becky Clements affirmed to TVLine that Connelly will return for season 3.
Fans may even meet a new character named Asha (Archie Panjabi) in the next season. While specifics of her are being kept under wraps, Clements explained that the addition of the personality into the show will make season 3″super-exciting.”
What Will Happen In Snowpiercer Season 3?
Melanie’s destiny is expected to be shown early in the new year. One of the most popular fan theories indicates that Melanie was rescued by a group of survivors in the mountains and brought her back to their own colony to recover. On the flip side, it’s also possible that Melanie will just appear in flashback scenes, which will show the last few minutes leading to her potential departure.
Meanwhile, Clements confirmed to TVLine that the weather will probably continue to play a massive part in 3. “It is definitely a new personality,” the executive producer said of the world’s ever-problematic weather. “Climate change is something that [fellow executive producer] Graeme [Manson] is always discussing, and it is such a powerful topic that most of us have very strong feelings about.” Clements added that season 3 will”keep reminding folks that we have to take care of our Earth, and just how fragile a minute we’re in.”
And with the outwitted and already-psychotic Wilford now in charge of the titular train, Clements explained that audiences can expect a couple of individuals to rein him in, and one of these individuals could be Ruth.
Last, Clements revealed that there’s going to be”some chasing” involving the Snowpiercer along with the Big Alice.
