Fans have been glued to every season of The 100 since it first premiered in March 2014. The postwar science fiction show has seven seasons thus far, and fans were eager to find out what the eighth season would hold. However, all good things must end, and for all those wondering if The 100 season 8 is happening, the show’s founder has some less-than-favourable news.
The 100 Season 8
The 100 creators Jason Rothenberg dropped some bombshell news on Twitter in August 2019. According to him, the series will end with season 7.
“With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some bittersweet news to share: Season 7 will probably be our last,” he wrote on Twitter. “We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for constantly letting us tell our story the way we want to wrap the series on our conditions. What an incredible ride this was!”

Rothenberg dropped the news just some days ahead of The 100’s season 6 finale, and understandable, fans were disappointed.
This series is the only reason why I wake up in the morning,” one fan said. Others left similar answers to Rothenberg, explaining how the fanbase will be in”misery” after the show finishes.

Currently, The 100 is currently broadcasting its seventh season on The CW. Episode 11 premiered this week, and since the season is set to own 16 episodes, that sadly means it will be finishing soon.
The 100 has really had a very successful enjoyable, but unfortunately, fans will be looking towards re-runs once season 7 has come to an end after this year.
