Aktobe, Kazakhstan – The West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M. Ospanov hosted a magnificent Fresher’s Party ceremony to officially welcome first-year international students. The event was organized by TECAS INTERNATIONAL LLP & others with the support of senior students. It highlighted cultural exchange, academic work, and student success.
Acting Rector Talgar Abilov welcomed the international students with warm wishes, recognizing their potential to become skilled medical professionals. He emphasized the university’s commitment to providing top-notch medical education and ensuring that international students feel at home during their studies.
In keeping with the festive spirit, the first-year students were granted Certificates of Appreciation for their educational achievements coupled with their engagement in various social and extracurricular activities. The university further awarded senior student activists with individual scholarships issued by the staff of foreign organizations. The event was complemented by song performances, cultural dances, and dynamic student activities, which enhanced the festive mood for the newcomers.

The West Kazakhstan Medical University has been enrolling international students since 2015, when the first students from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana & Gujarat joined the University. With the increased interest in medical education at the university, an international medical faculty was created in 2019. Now, the faculty serves over 1000 international students who seek to obtain medical degrees and accommodates all the necessary educational infrastructure along with healthy student life. Currently, the university hosts over 1,000 international students, offering them world-class medical education, modern infrastructure, and a healthy student life. Ms. Diana Primkulova, Dean of International Departments, emphasized the university’s commitment to providing a home-like environment for Indian students, ensuring they receive the best education and student support services.
