Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who came into the limelight after making ‘The Kashmir Files’, often takes a jibe at Bollywood films and stars. He keeps his opinion on some or other issue through social media, which brings him into the limelight. Something similar happened today when Vivek took a dig at films with ‘nonsense action with loud voices’. Taking to social media, the Bollywood director raised concerns about how cinema is glamorizing excessive violence. This tweet of the producer has come at a time when the makers of Prabhas’ action film ‘Salar’ have released the teaser of the film.

However, Vivek has not named any film in his tweet. But the users are feeling that the makers are taunting ‘Salar’ only. Responding to a user’s tweet, Vivek wrote, ‘People are not born violent. Your ‘kids’ minds are shaped by glamorizing violence in popular literature, cinema, and politics by industry leaders who should really be inspiring young minds to seek peace. Creative Consciousness is the only solution in such a violent world.

In another tweet, Vivek wrote, ‘We have also made such grand films with great engineering and powerful stories. For example, Sholay. But now everyone believes that a film can be made a hit by fooling the audience, marketing hype and loud action with loud noises. Looking at the Indian box office, this is true too. ,

Compared ‘Salar’ with ‘Mission Impossible’

While on one hand, Vivek Agnihotri took a dig at Indian action films, on the other hand, the director also praised Hollywood’s much talked about film ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning’. Vivek praised Tom Cruise’s upcoming film, writing, “Mission Impossible’ film in the world of action cinema. I hope someday we make something like this instead of just making a star image.”

The teaser of Prabhas’ action-adventure film ‘Salar’ was released this morning by Homble Films. ‘Salar Part 1: Ceasefire’ is directed by Prashant Neel. The teaser gives glimpses of thrilling action, which will give goosebumps to the fans. The film has been shot in India and countries in Europe and Africa.
