Violet then tries to make ends meet and live a normal life. She joins a postal service as a writer where she witnesses Auto Memory Dolls that transcribe people’s thoughts and feelings into words. Initially, such dolls were used by a scientist named Dr. Orlando to assist his visually impaired wife in writing. Moved by the concept Violet decides to work as an Auto Memory Doll, a trade that exposes to her (an otherwise emotion-less person) the varied number of adventures and she tries to find herself through her client’s feelings.
