Vikings Season 6: what We already know about the next spin-off

The last episodes of season 6 of Vikings have been available on the Amazon Prime Video platform since last December. Fans of the series have therefore said goodbye to their favorite characters.

The historic series of Michael Hirst is thus coming to an end. But the latter has not finished with the universe of Nordic warriors.

Indeed, he is even preparing a spin-off of his famous series! Entitled Vikings Valhalla, the series will this time be available on the Netflix streaming platform!

The show is thus added to the list of medieval series already available on the platform. We think of the very popular series The Witcher or Ragnarok.

More than a year after the official announcement of the spin-off’s creation, fans are growing impatient. Indeed, the series seems eagerly awaited!

But the Covid-19 pandemic did not spare the filming of the series. The production of the show was therefore quite late.

But this delay was quickly caught up. Indeed, the shooting of the spin-off seems already completed! Good news for fans who can’t wait any longer.

The series should also be broadcast on Netflix by the end of 2021. In the meantime, we know a little more about its plot and its characters. Here’s what to expect in Michael Hirst’s next series!

In November 2019 we therefore learned of the production of a spin-off of the Vikings series. Today the one that begins to reveal itself a little more.

In the new series, we follow the adventures of our favorite warriors 100 years after the original series . So the plot takes place in the 11th century.

Moreover, we will be able to see what has become of the lands conquered by Ragnar Lothbrok and his troops. Just like the original series, the Vikings Valhalla spin-off introduces us to historical figures who actually existed.

Moreover, we already know more about the cast of the series. We thus find the actor Sam Corlett known for having played in The new adventures of Sabrina.

Frida Gustavsson also joins the cast of the series. Just like Leo Suter and Johannes Johanneson.

Bradley Freegard will also star in the Michael Hirst spin-off. Laura Berlin and David Oakes are also among the actors chosen to star in the new Netflix production.
