This Global Coronavirus pandemic has been too harsh even to the industries such as  Bollywood Industry. The consequences can be evidently figured out from a few of the running news these days. The filmmakers and cinema owners seriously think twice while broadening their budget. As the public has abstained from the movie theatres, it’s been too difficult for the part of investors too to spends millions of money on any aspiring projects. One such trending news is about the project ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ featuring the Uri star Vicky Kaushal and Kedarnath diva Sara Ali Khan.

Since then he is known to sign many such projects to his credit.  This new project ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ marks the next union of Vicky Kaushal with the director Aditya Dhar. This movie was supposed to go into the air in the year 2020. As the COVID year, 2020 banned each and every industry, hence it spoilt the plan for Aditya too. Hence the release dates were screwed due to backed tons of VFX.

The film’s producer Mr. Ronnie Screwvala who initially endorsed The Immortal Ashwatthama, later announced that the movie has gone cost overrun and the pandemics-derived situations are adding on to the problems. He had once declared that the film is supposed to be postponed to several months.

Ronnie’s words of his statement go as – “In the last draft of the script, the ambition of the movie and the budget did not match and the overall uncertainty fueled by COVID  hence it did not help.” Referring to the trio Vicky, Aditya, and he himself, they hence decided to wait and put his back for the next six-nine months.  The leading character Sara Ali Khan also nodded for the decision. They concluded that they need to work immensely on solving the budget issue and turn the table to make things favorable as planned for Ashwathama.

As per the reports of the Times Of India, The film has not been delayed but shelved. Initially, the film was planned for a budget of 125 crores. Hower the movie expenses are going overboard to 200 crores. The makers are quite firm about the quality of the movie not being compromised.

As there are a lot of uncertainties about its release in theatres and over nextly in OTT platforms. Will the box office be covering the cost of film as of the conditions prevailing now.

Meanwhile, there has been news of Vicky Kaushal signing various projects to name a few  Sardar Udham Singh biopic, the biopic of  Sam Manekshaw titled Sam Bahadur and directed by Meghna Gulzar, and the movie Mr. Lele.
