Vicky Kaushal is a Hindi film actor from India. Vicky was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on May 16, 1988. He has previously worked as a model, television presenter, and assistant director. He studied engineering at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology after being born to action director Sham Kaushal. Vicky thereafter began appearing in small roles in films like as Bombay Velvet and Luv Suv De Chicken Khurana. He also had some minor appearances in the film Geek Out.
Aspiring to be a film director, Kaushal worked with Anurag Kashyap on the crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur and went on to play minor roles in two of Kashyap’s films. His first main part was in Masaan, an indie drama that earned him the IIFA and Screen Awards for Best Male Debut. Kaushal rose to prominence in 2018 with supporting appearances in Raazi and Sanju, two of the year’s highest-grossing Hindi films.
He rose to notoriety following the release of the film Sanju. He hasn’t looked back since, giving the performance of a lifetime in the 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike. His line “How’s The Josh?” became an internet craze and was used by political parties as well as sporting organisations.
