Korean dramas normally persist for just one season because the storylines are normally given closure. However, the situation may not apply to Vagabond which left lots of loose ends in its first season.
The first season of Vagabond had 16 episodes however a lot of questions were left unanswered when it wrapped up. Add how the K-Drama established a significant following, giving showrunners more than enough reason to seriously consider another season.
The only problem at the moment is that there is no clarity if there’ll be a Vagabond season two. However, for some, the fact that there are a lot of plots that remain unanswered suggests that manufacturers may be working on a different season. Contemplating Vagabond also rated well, there is little to no reason why the Korean play shouldn’t enter another term.
For those who might haven’t seen it, Vagabond tells the story of Cha Dal-gun (Lee Seung-gi). He is a stuntman who dropped his nephew (Moon Woo-jin) in a plane crash. They had a tight connection and it was a burden to endure for Cha Dal-gun. However, the plot thickens as it was discovered that the plane crash was planned after a thorough evaluation of the episode.
From here, Chal Dal-gun lays out on a journey to get to the bottom supporting the plane crash. Along the way, he ends up facing different dangers with essential people tied to this accident.
For assistance, Chal Dal-gun gets assistance from a covert operative for the National Intelligence Service at Go Hae-Ri (Bae Suzy). Their tandem and analysis dig deeper into the situation. On the way, they finally fall in love but with a lot of unanswered questions about the plane crash.
The love angle plus the hanging storylines are more than sufficient to back that second season for Vagabond should become. There is not any word if the series has been revived and many are keeping their fingers crossed. Assuming it will get revived, a safe prediction would be to see that the second season premiere from 2022 or 2023.
