Usher Raymond IV is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and businessman. He was born on October 14, 1978 (Present Age: 43 years old) in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When he was just 9 years old, his mother made him join the youth choir at the local church. Later, his grandmother discovered his talent for singing. To provide a better environment so that Usher could pursue singing professionally, his family moved to Atlanta.
Usher’s Musical Journey
Atlanta offered a haven of opportunities to Usher. At a local talent show, Usher met A.J Alexander. At that time, A.J Alexander was singer Bobby Brown’s bodyguard. A.J used to take Usher along with him to perform at various talent shows. When Usher was participating in a television talent show called Star Search, a representative from LaFace Records got his eyes on him. LaFace Records was an American record label company. After his performance, he was instantly signed up for a contract with LaFace Records. His debut single was ‘Call Me a Mack‘ was released on August 16, 1993.
In 1994, Usher released his first album titled ‘Usher‘. However, the album received backlash from the audience. As Usher sang about sex, and him only being 15 years old, the public had a hard time believing so. In 1997, After completing high school, Usher released his second album titled ‘My Way’. His second album made him a household name in the United States. It was one of the Top R’n’B/ Hip-Hop albums of the late 90s. In 2001, Usher was back with another album titled ‘8701‘.His number 1 singles from his third album were, ‘U Got It Bad’, ‘U Remind Me‘ and ‘U Don’t Have To Call‘. He sold millions of copies of the album. Usher won his first Grammy’s Award.

Although Grace and Usher always seemed happy in their marriage, they parted ways in December of 2018.
