Uroosa Islam is the enigmatic personality in highlight today. She is an adept event organizer, currently implementing her skills while serving as the event coordinator for StyleContour Events. Her skill-set is not limited to the event management industry and branches out to many sectors, including fashion, makeup, PR, and Digital Marketing. It may be a lot to take in for many working professionals confined to a single industry. The sheer amount of dexterity displayed by her is a milestone that very few people achieve in their entire work life.
But she wasn’t always like this and wanted a normal career. Her viewpoint changed as she continued to meet clients and learn about the nuances and untapped potential of the event management industry.
She says, “I did my bachelor’s in Journalism and my post graduation in Public Relations & Corporate Communication and was focused on becoming a PR representative for a firm. During my stretch at the PR and Digital Marketing career I worked with a variety of high profile clients. I have worked for extensive campaigns for London Dairy, Godrej Tyson Food, BBlunt, Nike and Manyavar. Being a novice, I still managed to steer past the jarring obstacles and execute brand uplifting strategies with ease. I have never turned a cold shoulder to challenges and I owe it all to my mentors that instilled such never wavering confidence in me.”

Uroosa Islam hails from Kolkata and has completed her bachelor’s in Journalism honors from a prestigious educational institution in the city. She is an alumnus of Shri Shikshayatan College, Calcutta University and Xavier Institute Of Communications, Mumbai. She had a soft corner for the fashion industry, hence, she started fashion blogging in the year 2015. She is also a certified professional makeup artist from VLCC wherein she collaborated with many high-profile artists and considers it to be a great asset for future endeavours.
She is good at everything she puts her mind to and makes it appear easy. She adds, “My diverse career profile may seem absurd to many professionals who like to work towards a straight forward path. I, on the other hand, think opposite. During my time at PR and Digital Marketing, I learned about the complexities of working with big brands. I did my fair share of work as a makeup artist which was supposed to be a part time gig and which may become fruitful in the coming years. My inclination towards fashion and lifestyle compelled me to step in event management industry.”
Uroosa Islam runs a renowned event management company located in the heart of Kolkata. She launched Style Contour Events to transcend the event management industry and set an example of memorable and eye-turning events. She shoulders the responsibility of the company’s creative head, and it is coming across as the most promising brand in Kolkata.
