List of various South Indian Upcoming Movies: Release this Year-

Including South Indian films like Adipurush, Ponniyin Selvan, Hari Hara Veeru Mallu, Ayalaan and many more-

1. Adipurush- 

A drama film based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana, shot in both Hindi and Telugu. With a reported budget of Rs. 500 crore, it is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Om Rout is both the director and the writer of this film.

The release date of this movie is set to be on 12th January 2023. The lead roles of this movie includes actors Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh Nijjar, Devdutta Nage and many others.

2.Ponniyin Selvan I-

Ponniyin Selvan I, directed by Mani Ratnam, will be released in September. It is the first Tamil debut film to be shown in IMAX. The film is the first of two based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan.

According to Aashish Singh, chief executive officer of Lyca Productions, the company is excited that Ponniyin Selvan will be seen by audiences all over the world in IMAX, a format that will do full justice to the creators’ vision.

3. Hari Hara Veera Mallu-

This is a Telugu film that has also been dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. This film’s genres are action and drama. Pawan Kalyan, Nidhi Agerwal, Arjun Rampal, Nargis Fakhri, Aditya Menon, Shubhalekha Sudhakar, and Pujita Ponnada are among the cast members.

The films production began in September 2020 and will be released in four languages. The film is set in the 17th century Mughal Empire itanis a action drama movie.

4. Ayalaan-

R. Ravikumar directs Ayalaan. It is a forthcoming Tamil film from South India. This film is in the Sci-Fi genre. Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Yogi Babu, and Isha Koppikar are among the cast members. R.D Raja is the film’s producer. The plot is said to revolve around aliens visiting the planet Earth.

5. Yashoda-

Yashoda is a forthcoming Indian science fiction thriller written and directed by Hari-Harish. Sridevi Movies produced the film, which was shot in both Telugu and Tamil.

The film stars Samantha as the titular character alongside Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

6. Kushi-

Kushi is a romantic comedy film directed by Majili’s Shiva Nirvana. Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha play the lead roles in the film, which also stars Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and many others.

The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravishankar Yalamanchili under Mythri Movie Makers banner. The South Indian movie will be released on 23 December 2022.
