The comedian Trevor Noah’s tenure as the host of Comedy Central’s Daily Show has come to an end because he will leave after seven years in December. Although a replacement for Noah hasn’t been announced but reported that the network is apparently thinking about some of the correspondents from the program. Noah, who emerged from near anonymity to succeed Jon Stewart as host of the show in 2015, shocked Comedy Central and Paramount executives by announcing his departure from the program in late September.
Sources claim that until Noah made his announcement, neither show staff members nor executives at the conglomerate were aware of this. The Daily Show’s host Noah Cyrus exerted his option to stay for an additional two years in June.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s sources, He also had an option for a further year which would have carried him through the 2024–25 seasons. Because of this, Noah’s decision to leave another surprise for everyone at Paramount and with “The Daily Show” was appropriate.
