Netflix continues to bet on anime and does so by adding two new projects to its extensive catalog, such as the animated series from the video game franchise Tomb Raider and the movie Kong: Skull Island .
According to Collider, the Tomb Raider anime series will follow the adventures of Lara Croft after what happened in the film starring Alicia Vikander. Tasha Huo ( The Witcher: Blood Origin ) will write the script.
On the other hand, the Kong: Skull Island series will be an adventure series that follows the story of several shipwrecked characters who must escape from the mysterious island that is home to prehistoric monsters, including the mythical Kong. Brian Duffield will write the anime script.
News of the Tomb Raider series comes just after Misha Green ( Lovecraft Territory ) takes over directing the long-awaited sequel to Alicia Vikander . Netflix is also already working on other series about video games such as a live action Resident Evil , an animation titled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness . Another from Assassin’s Creed and Final Fantasy or an animated one from Splinter Cell .
