Tokyo 2020 Paralympics is finally here on board after a year delay due to a worldwide pandemic. For all the sports lovers it is a full swing 12 days scheduled thrill from 24 August to 5 September 2021. The Indian players will be making their place in nine sports disciplines.
These International sports include swimming, badminton, archery, taekwondo, powerlifting, canoeing, shooting, table tennis, and athletics. India has already been singing the victory song and has opened its account counting medals. Since the day India has already grabbed 7 medals and the nation is expecting more.

Paralympics was originally started in 1960. India made its first appearance in 1968. It differs from Olympic games as in this the athletes participating are physically disabled. This time the Paralympic games are hosted in the capital city of Japan viz Tokyo.
The motto for this year’s Paralympic is ‘ United by Emotions’. The opening ceremony was held on 24th August 2021. This time a total of 4,537 athletes are participating from 163 different Nations. There will be 22 events in total accounting for 540 medals. From India, a sum of 54 athletes will be participating this year.
