Prathi Srinivasan executive story editor Titans discussed Kory’s role in the upcoming third season of the HBO Max series.
Responding to some buff on Twitter, Srinivasan said that Kory’s desktop will be researched in the new season. “We get a little taste of her origins, which is so exciting [because] with her memories back, Kory can sense mysterious,” explained Srinivasan. Through the show, Koriand’r/Kory Anders, aka Starfire, has struggled with her identity, though small about her own life back to her home planet of Tamaran was revealed thus far.

Leading up to Titans Season 3, Srinivasan has answered various fan questions about key characters such as Jason Todd. A remarkable improvement in the new season is Todd’s Robin getting Red Hood, with Srinivasan describing the transformation as”frightening”. From the comic books, Red Hood is a violent force to be reckoned with, leaving a trail of destruction across Gotham.
Starfire’s sister, Blackfire, will also cause trouble for the Titans team in the next season. In February, the series revealed Blackfire’s costume, teasing war between the two sisters within their homeworld. In Season 2, Blackfire seized control of Tamaran and named herself queen. According to Srinivasan, Kory’s life and her history on Tamaran will be discovered as she struggles with Blackfire.
Anna Diop has played with Kory because the start of the show, undergoing stylistic changes with every season. The character’s co-creator Marv Wolfman praised Kory’s Season 3 look, which includes curly hair and a purple suit with green opal details.
