Tiger 3 tickets went on sale internationally earlier this week. The early pre-sales trends are very promising, indicating a strong start when the film is released on the 12th of next month. Thirteen days before its release, the Salman Khan-led film has amassed nearly USD 150,000 in sales on its first day. In recent years, the sales have been second only to two Shah Rukh Khan films, Jawan and Pathaan, which have both taken the overseas box office to unprecedented heights this year.

The best reactions have come from the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, two markets where Salman Khan has a strong presence. In terms of raw sales figures, however, the United States leads with nearly USD 50,000 in first-day sales. As of this morning, the film had sold nearly 3,000 tickets in the United Kingdom, translating to GBP 25,000 in revenue. At the same time, it is running two-thirds of Jawan, which it has done since sales began.

Similarly, the first-day pre-sales in the UAE have reached USD 22,000, with 1,600 tickets sold. In this market, Tiger 3 accounts for roughly 70% of Jawan’s sales and 60% of Pathaan’s.

Talking more about Salman’s upcoming film Tiger 3

Given that Tiger 3 will be released on a Sunday. It will not be challenging any weekend records, but it may feature among the top opening days. To put this in context, Pathaan and Jawan set the record for the largest opening day, earning more than USD 4.50 million on their first day. It will be difficult to compete with these two, but we can aim for third place. Dhoom 3 had the next best first day for a Bollywood film, grossing USD 3.50 million. The record for a Salman starrer is Sultan, which grossed USD 3.04 million on Eid day. Tiger 3 may be able to dethrone these two based on the way pre-sales have begun.
