An American supernatural fantasy horror TV series that’s a prominently known web series of our time. The Vampire Diaries is based on a book written by LJ smith. Also, the Internet show was exhibited by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. This series has a total of 171 episodes which was premiered on The CW from September 10, 2009, to March 10, 2017.

Further, the show is about a fictional city Mystic Falls that has the presence of supernatural creatures like, the Vampires, the Warewolf, and the Witches. Elena (Nina Dobrev), a young girl, falls in love with a vampire Stefan ( Paul Wesley), and later on with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). After that, the individual lifetime of Elena sees a lot of ups and downs that introduced new characters and stories in every episode.

Just after the very first season it grabbed a lot of people’s attention and spanned over 3.60 million viewers. Due to which the show received many nominations and won a lot of awards that include the four People’s Choice Award and many Teen Choice Awards. TVD relied upon a huge success, it became popular among teens and it had been watched worldwide.

Although it’s been four years and we could see there isn’t any information about the revival or resume, or coming from the ninth year but there were rumors about the ninth season lately.

Lately, Ian Somerhalder spoke with SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live and there it was inquired from him concerning the rumor. Ian Somerhalder, who played an important role Damon at TVD, responded:

“I haven’t heard anything about a year nine. I mean, what could, you know, like what could happen Stefan and Damon are, you know, Damon has like gray hair and they’re, they’ve canes like, ‘Oh, I got, gotta nourish the infant.’ Do you know what I mean? No, listen, it conducted ran a fantastic course. And today it’s still living. That’s what’s so amazing. It’s still alive”

Well, thanks to Netflix, each of the episodes are saved there and we could binge-watch them anytime. So, there is nothing to be sad about it.

“It’s beyond living. I mean, you never could have imagined that there would be a worldwide stage. None of us might have imagined like Netflix were, I mean, you hear of your series airing around the world. You can now measure how many streams it’s getting it is on. I mean, it truly is outstanding. No one could have imagined that”, Andy, the anchor of the series, states to Ian in a live show SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen.

Therefore, there’s no fresh period of TVD, we are blessed to see that a total of eight seasons and 171 episodes from Netflix.
