Danish post-apocalyptic web TV series The Rain Season has become a fan favorite of sci-fi TV series. It is one of the most-watched TV series on Netflix right now. Furthermore, it is one of the most-watched non-English series on Netflix, along with popular series such as Dark and Money Heist.
It has already been known for a long time that Netflix had renewed the series for a third season. Fans of the series were thrilled to see their favorite show return for a third season on August 6, 2020 on Netflix. However, fans are wondering if there will be a fourth season of The Rain.
Is Rain Season 4 Possible?
Netflix officially closed the series after 3 seasons. The events of the third season of the series come to an end, and many of the main characters eventually die in the third season. Thus, it is clear that the creators are not looking to come back with another season of The Rain.
However, if the studio decides to come up with another season of the series, new characters could be written taking into account the new conditions. But for now, The Rain’s status is closed, and Netflix has no real plans to move the series forward.

What The Series Is About
The events of the series take place in post-apocalyptic Denmark where the rains are contagious. Some viruses are contaminated through the clouds and the ensuing rains carry this virus, killing anyone they land on.

Netflix renewed The Rain for a second season on May 30, 2018. The second season was released on May 17, 2019, with 6 episodes. The third season, which hit screens on August 6, 2020, is so far the final season of this popular post-apocalyptic series.
