Tea unites many people in India. Starting from the pre-Independence era till today tea has been the most consistent factor. Baithak brings people close and strengthens relationship. 64% of the total population in India is the tea drinking population. Tea is a traditional drink. It is considered one of the most affordable beverages. Anubhav Dubey researched and understood the demand for tea in the market. He along with his friend Anand Nayak opened their first outlet of Chai Sutta Bar in Indore.

About the Company

Anubhav Dubey and Anand Nayak launched Chai Sutta Bar, a tea and snack-based business model in India. The relatable name and appealing business model gave it much popularity. Anubhav and Anand were preparing for competitive exams. The entrepreneurial journey started when they could not qualify for the exams. The CEO of Chai Sutta Bar decided to give their chain an unusual name. Anubhav deployed multiple strategies to grab eyeballs in the early days. They served tea in kulhad(clay cup). CSB franchises uses almost 3 lakhs kulhads every day and the potter community facilitated as they got regular income. One cup of tea costs Rs. 10 whereas the price of tea in other brands are Rs. 100.

Chai Sutta Bar success story

The business started with simple chai served in kulhad.  Flavors like chocolate, elaichi, masala and rest others are added . CSB added other food items like sandwiches, pasta, noodles, burgers to their list. The yearly turnover of the company rose to 100 crores. Chai Sutta Bar has a sizable presence in the Indian market. They opened their overseas outlet in Dubai. The target audience includes Indians, Bangladeshis, and Pakistanis who are regular consumers of tea. Anubhav has planned to open outlets in US, UK and Canada.
