The Star Wars spin-off series The Mandalorian returned into the roster of ongoing Disney+ displays, debuting a second year on October 30, 2020. This unbelievable season, which wrapped up on December 18, has, unsurprisingly, garnered the show a 2021 Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama TV Series. If that wasn’t praise enough, the achievement has to lead the way for three spinoffs series: The Novel of Boba Fett, Rangers of the New Republic, also Ahsoka.
This, clearly, has many people wondering about season 3 of The Mandalorian. Here’s what we know so far.
Season 3 has been in the works well before season 2 aired. “Sources close to the production have confirmed that founder Jon Favreau was composing season 3 for a while,’ and that the art department, directed by Lucasfilm vice president and executive creative director Doug Chiang, has been creating concepts for season 3 for the past couple of weeks,'” Variety reported again in April 2020.
Favreau himself supported GMA that creation for season 3 will start right after The Book of Boba Fett, which is set to broadcast in December 2021.
This material is imported from Twitter. You could have the ability to find the identical content in a different format, or you may be able to find more info, at their internet site. They’d want to keep it moving. Plus, who would deprive the world of more Baby Yoda? (We suppose the man in the suit who travels around with Baby Yoda has his fans, also.)
The good and bad thing about The Mandalorian is the production is adept at keeping secrets. Remember how nobody even hinted about the occurrence of Baby Yoda before he showed up on the screen? (That’s a really hard job in this day and age, where it is possible to find spoilers for virtually anything.) And after it had been confirmed that Rosario Dawson joined the cast of this show, her personality was kept under wraps for a little while then.
It’s no surprise, then, that no specifics about Favreau’s vision for season 3 have dribbled out nonetheless. In reality, there’s still a lot of secrecy about the current season, even for the actors. Entertainment Weekly reports that”the heightened secrecy included actors getting scripts just for their episodes and being relegated to sets in black cloaks and hoods like incognito Sith Lords.”
We’ve got no hints about the planets that the Mando will see, or some other characters that may cross his path. We do have a morsel, via Favreau, that subsequent seasons may go to more far-flung worlds using more personalities than was allowed in year 1. “As we introduce other characters, there are chances to follow unique storylines,” he says in that same Entertainment Weekly story. “The entire world was truly mesmerized by Game of Thrones and how that evolved since the characters followed different storylines that are very appealing to me as an audience member.”
Giancarlo Esposito confirmed this universe expansion in an interview with Individuals. “We’re living in a world that is huge and there’s so much to research,” he tells the magazine. “So I believe this series will lay the groundwork for its depth and width that is gonna come season 3 and season 4, in which you are really gonna start to have answers.” Intriguing!
As mentioned previously, the third season has not yet begun production. But, according to the Film and Television Industry Alliance, as of January, the series was in pre-production, using a shoot day aimed for April 5, 2021. That means, we can probably expect the first part of season 3 to air in ancient 2022.
