We all know that the post-production phase, especially when it comes to science fiction titles, involves a before and after in the final result of a title, whatever it is. However, although we did not expect that the images from the filming of The Mandalorian would have an appearance or similar to the episodes that we enjoy every Friday on Disney +, it is still curious to observe how different the same scene is if we compare the filming with the of the chapter already finished and released.
According to the Screenrant website, a video of the filming shared by a Reddit user in a thread of the gigantic and popular forum is proof of what a scene can change without CGI, or modifications of any kind, “bareback”.
The video, leaked from one of the filming locations in February 2020 -via Twitter user Luvanght-, corresponds to the recording of a scene belonging to the last episode broadcast, ‘The Tragedy’ (2×06), specifically the one that housed the battle between Din Djarin ( Pedro Pascal ) and a group of ‘Stormtroopers’ on the planet Tython where the Jedi temple was located to which the protagonist had to take Grog. Now, once the chapter in question was broadcast, Tik Tok and Reddit have been the social networks chosen to share the comparison between the leaked video at the beginning of the year and the final result, in which there are flashes in each shot, smoke and a setting more in line with the aesthetics of The Mandalorian.
Despite the great and excellent work carried out by the team of the series and by Disney + to avoid ‘spoilers’ that spoil the surprise factor, numerous details that should have remained secret have been revealed in recent months and their veracity is being confirmed now, during the broadcast of the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney +. Still, the first live-action Star Wars series continues to delight its fans with revelations, surprises, comebacks, and countless ‘easter eggs’ from the franchise.
