The Kerala Story, starring Adah Sharma and directed by Sudipto Sen, is gaining attention for its OTT streaming following its theatrical release. Previously, Sen had told the insight about its OTT discharge as talk. He also made it clear that no platform has yet made him a fair offer. Not only this, the director even accused a section of the industry of hatching a conspiracy against him. At the same time, now another big update has come about it.
Sudipto Sen had said in a conversation in the past that they are not getting suitable offers from the OTT platform. The director further added, ‘Our box office success brought many of the film industry’s troubled classes. we feel that a section of the entertainment industry is proud of our success.’
The real reason for not getting OTT buyer
However, now a different angle has come to the fore regarding ‘The Kerala Story’ not getting an OTT buyer. As per the latest reports, the makers of the film are demanding a hefty amount for its OTT release, and considering the market, it is difficult for an OTT platform to raise such amount. This is the reason why this deal has not been finalized yet.

As per reports, ‘Vipul Shah has demanded Rs 70-100 crore. In such a situation, the statement of Sudipto is not completely correct. Apart from Adah Sharma, ‘The Kerala Story’ stars Siddhi Idnani, Sonia Balani, and Yogita Bihani in the lead roles. The story of the movie revolves around the conversion of Kerala girls and their forced induction into the terrorist organization. The film was made on a $40 million budget. At the same time, it proved to be a big hit at the box office earning Rs 242 crores.
