After super successful four seasons, the American fantasy show ‘The Good Place’ might make a season 5 come back. This series has been created by Michael Schur and produced by David Hyman. Its first episode aired on September 19, 2016 on the NBC network.
The fantasy drama has received some accolades including a Peabody Award and three Hugo Awards for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form, and many Emmy nominations. It has a rating of 8.2 on the IMDB’s website and a rating of 92% on the Rotten Tomatoes website. All episodes of the show are available to stream on Netflix.

Plot
Eleanor Shellstrop, an amoral pharmaceutical saleswoman dies and goes to a place known as “The Good Place” which is a heaven-like utopia run by Michael. The people who enter The Good Place are the ones who are rewarded for their righteousness, but in the case of Eleanor (who is mistaken for a good lawyer) and Jason- who is a small-time drug dealer and criminal, they believe to be wrongly sent here. In this system, humans are given scores for their morality and the ones with high morality scores to The Good Place and the ones with low score go to the Bad Place where they are tortured. The Good Place neighborhood is going through the chaos as Jason and Eleanor have arrived due to their bad deeds. Eleanor asks help from her philosopher soul mate Chidi to teach her about righteousness and earn a position in the neighborhood.
In Season 4, an experiment shows that humans improve in their afterlife as well and they have to give a test be for claiming their position in The Good Place. Furthermore, human souls can exist in The Good Place and end their afterlife peacefully. Eleanor, Jason and Chidi decide on doing the same and Michael is sent to Earth to live his life as a human.
The Release Date Of Season 5
The official Twitter handle of the show released a statement by Micheal Schur, creator of the show, on 8th June 2019, stating that only 50 episodes and for the season was the life span of the show. As there were no major cliffhangers or twists in the Season 4 finale, it seems that the fantasy drama is not likely to renew for a new season.
