The favorite tales of high society allow the introduction of the very next TV show – The Gilded Age. Directed by Downton Abbey with creator Julian Fellowes, the series with 10 episodes, is going to appear on HBO. HBO series already attracted the star-stud cast and similarities to Downton Abbey and Gossip Girl.

The Gilded Age Plot

1880s age, The Gilded Age plot the story about an orphan woman named Marian Brook, daughter of Southern general, who moved with her aunt in New York City. Finally, she finds herself suddenly swipe up in the mysterious upper echelons of Manhattan’s high society.

The show’s title, The Glided Age, refers to era real life. Influencing with New York family-like railroad magnets the Vanderbilts. Hence, publishing moguls the Hearsts, established their fortunes. Moreover, the family accumulates great wealth, owning palatial properties on sprawling grounds. Instead, it serves as a backdrop of the show’s drama.

The Gilded Age Cast

The showboats with the actor, Amanda Peet as Bertha Russell, a woman using her husband’s business success to work around in elite society. Morgan Spector as Bertha’s husband George.

The lead cast of Marian Brook is yet to be cast. On other hand, Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski have signed on to play the role of two aunts. Baranski as Agnes Van Rhijn, Nixon as Ada Brook.

Sharing screen of Baranski and Nixon previously on Addams Family, The Glided Age is the second fortune for them to work together.

The Gilded Age Release Date

No official word has been declared for the 10 episode series. Earlier it was acclaimed that the series will be premier within 2020 on hit screen. But thereafter the pandemic, fans have not recent updates of the premiere date. Stay tuned to this page for further updates on this.
