In case you forgot, The Boys currently has some essential ties with Supernatural, starting with The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke. Before The Boys, Kripke served as a writer and producer on the long-running CW series. Subsequently, in August 2020, we reported that Supernatural star Jensen Ackles had been added to the Season 3 cast in the use of Soldier Boy. So, which extra Supernatural alums are joining The Boys team?
Per Variety, The Boys has added three new team members with ties to Supernatural. The first is Meredith Glynn, who’ll serve as an executive producer on The Boys. Previously, she had been a Supernatural co-executive manufacturer and writer from 2016 to 2020. There’s also David Reed, that will also function as an executive producer on The Boys. While on Supernatural, Reed was a writer and script planner from 2009 to 2021. In the end, there’s Jim Michaels, who combines The Boys Season 3 as a co-executive producer. On Supernatural, Michaels was a manufacturer (and later co-executive manufacturer ) from 2009 to 2020.
