Tanuj Mahashabde is an Indian Television actor. He is best known for his role in Television Series ‘Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

Controversy
Tanuj Mahashabde was a writer for the famous TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV. During the shooting, Dilip Joshi spotted him and Munmun Dutta together and recommended they act like husband-wife in the successful comedy series. In the year 2016, Tanuj Mahashabde was appreciated for reuniting an 18-year-old boy with his family, who was lost in Borivali by taking him promptly to the police station. On 26 March 2016 Tanuj Mahashabde along with famous actor Govinda attended the premiere of the Punjabi movie Canada Di Flight in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

- He has a diploma in Marine Communication from Indore. Later, Tanuj moved to Mumbai and started learning the basics of theatre from ‘Bharatiya’ Vidya Bhavan Kala Kendra, Mumbai’.

Allegedly Tanuj was supposed to do writing for the series, but the lead actor of the show, Dilip Joshi’ suggested the director take Tanuj as one of the characters i.e. ‘Scientist Krishnan Iyer’ as there was no such character in the script before.
