Although it is not surprising that some of the train stations have withstood ravages of time from wars to urban development.  Many rulers transferred their architectural and engineering knowledge to far places. They build these train stations there as well.  Undoubtedly, trains are considered one of the best ways to explore the beauty of a city as it allows one to meander through beautiful landscapes.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Station in Mumbai (India)

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Station is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whenever you are in Mumbai, it is a must-see tourist attraction. This architectural marvel is a beautiful amalgamation of traditional Indian elements and Victorian Gothic style. It was built by British Architect F.W Stevens alongside local craftsmen of India.  The government of Maharashtra has declared this station as a historic monument.

Kuala Lumpur Station in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

Kuala Lumpur Station is noted for its magnificent architecture. It is a beautiful mixture of colonial and local architectural styles. However, it looks like a typical Victorian building and features a glass and iron dome. It is one of the must-visit monuments in Kuala Lumpur.

St. Pancras International Station in London (UK)

This international train station was unveiled in 1868. This neo-Gothic red brick façade has caught many eyes ever since. Recently, St. Pancras got a makeover of £800 million. As a result, now the station looks like one of the finest Victorian landmarks in London.

Ramses Station in Cairo (Egypt)

Filled with beauty and grace, Ramses Station in Cairo is a piece of Egyptian architectural masterpiece. The station is named after the statue of Pharaoh Ramses II. He was also known as Ramesses the Great. Furthermore, he was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt in the 1950s.

Amsterdam Central Station in the Netherlands

Amsterdam Central is considered one of the architectural marvels in the world. This station was built in the 19th century. However, the beauty of this station if comes from its structure. It stands on three artificial islands and over 8000 wooden pillars! It is an unmissable tourist attraction in Amsterdam.
