Welcome, one and all! Grab your self-care goods and margaritas because we are here to discuss season two of Sweet Magnolias. Dependent on the Sweet Magnolias novels by author Sherryl Woods, the show follows three best friends residing in South Carolina who stick together through thick and thin because they were kids.
The titular Sweet Magnolias consist of Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliott), and Helen Decatur (Heather Headley). All three women are very distinct, but their bond could not be more powerful. The very first season chronicles Maddie’s separation from her husband, Dana Due’s business difficulties, along with Helen’s romantic struggles. At the same time, the three girls decide to pursue their lifelong dream of opening a spa together.
Similar to Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias feels just like something that would premiere on the Hallmark Channel. The show features healthful drama and it is wonderful to see feminine friendships cast in such a wonderful light. The first season finale featured an intense cliffhanger and fans (myself included) can’t wait to see what happens next.

We are aware that Sweet Magnolias was renewed for a second season at Netflix. But, there has not been any official news about when production will begin again. As of right now, it doesn’t look like we are going to be seeing new episodes of Sweet Magnolias this year.
