The lifestyles of the pupils at Moordale Secondary School in Netflix’s British humor Sex Education are intriguing. But that’s only part of what gets the streamer’s hit teen series about a self-proclaimed adolescent sex therapist called Otis (Asa Butterfield), his classmates, and his real sex therapist mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) terrific. The show from creator Laurie Nunn, which dropped its initial season in January 2019 and its second in January 2020, isn’t only hilarious and unbelievably wholesome, it’s created a beloved cast of characters, each with their own nuanced story about sin and coming into their own.
Filming on Sex Instruction period 3 was due to start in late April. If production hadn’t been postponed, we could have assumed season three would follow a similar pattern to show one and two, and land on-screen in January 2021. The cast first began teasing script and filming readings for season two in May 2019, until Netflix released the show in total on January 17th, 2020. But here’s to hoping it’ll be here mid-2021?
In this new year, there will be comprising Asa Butterfield(Otis Milburn), and Gillan Anderson(Dr. Jean Milburn), along with the supporting characters are Emma Mackey(Maeve Wiley), Ncuti Gatwa(Eric Effiong), Connor Swindells(Adam Groff) and Patricia Allison(Ola Nyman). The casting agency Mad dog has already searched for an 18-26 years old character.
In the upcoming season, the production will dig deeper into the lives of characters. Like the past two seasons, this third season will probably have eight episodes as well. We are still awaiting the affirmation and trailer to learn more about the plot and characters. But we are sure the plot is going to be interesting that this time too.
Season 3 will solve many mysteries which were unresolved in the prior season.
