Raqesh Bapat (Rakesh Vashisht) is an Indian actor and model. Born on 1 September 1978 in Mumbai, Raqesh Bapat’s age is 43 years old (as of 2021). He debuted in the entertainment industry with the Bollywood film Tum Bin. He played the role of Amar Shah in the film. Subsequently, he appeared in many films including Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Tumse Milke Wrong Number, Kaun Hai Jo Sapno Mein Aaya, and Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai.
In 2005, Bapat debuted in the Hindi television industry. He appeared in the drama Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar from 2005 to 2008 and essayed the role of Neel/ Neerav. Thereafter, he appeared in NDTV Imagine’s Ek Packet Umeed as Anuj. He played the sole man in the serial.
In the year 2010, Bapat appeared in the show Seven- The Ashvamedha Prophecy. It was an Indian supernatural television series and it aired on Sony Entertainment Television. Raqesh essayed the role of Shlok who is the male guardian of Seven. Starting from 2010 to 2012, Raqesh Bapat played the male protagonist Aditya Singh Jakhar in Star Plus’s show Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?. This was the first Indian television drama that depicted homosexuality.
Raqesh had participated in reality shows as well. He was a part of Nach Baliye 6 and in 2021 he was seen on Bigg Boss OTT. He emerged as the third runner-up and is now in the house of Bigg Boss Season 15.

Raqesh Bapat Ex-Wife
On 29th May 2011, Raqesh Bapat got married to Actress Ridhi Dogra. He met Ridhi on the sets of Maryada and the two fell in love. However, in 2019, the announcement of their divorce hit their fans like a truck. Raqesh and Ridhi decided to part ways and applied for a divorce in 2019. The reason for their divorce is a mutual misunderstanding between them.
On Bigg Boss OTT, Raqesh opened up about his marriage to Shamita Shetty. Although the duo seems to be more than friends now, Raqesh had been clear and said that “Before giving it any kind of name, this bond, we would like to know each other better.”
