After the failure of Adipurush, Indian cinema is all set to present another version of Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film has been in the scripting stage for quite some time. There have been reports of casting Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the roles of Ram and Sita. But no announcement has been made yet. The biggest noise among these discussions was when the news came that KGF fame Yash would play the role of Ravana in Ramayana. But there was also news in the middle that Yash would not play the role of Ravana. It is now coming to the fore that KGF star Yash will have to go through some look tests for the role of Raavan.

Ranbir Kapoor’s name has surfaced for Ram in the film Ramayana, but no actress has been offered the role of Sita yet, Alia’s name is doing the rounds. Preparations have been started for the shooting of the film
Earlier, during the promotion of Bawal, director Nitesh Tiwari talked about his version of Ramayana and said during an interview, ‘My question is very simple. I am also a consumer of whatever content I create and if I don’t hurt myself. I am sure I won’t hurt anyone else.’ On the other hand, when it comes to Adipurush, the film came into controversies as soon as it was released. Because the audience found its dialogue very objectionable. The film starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali in the lead roles.
Filmmaker Namit Malhotra is gearing up to deliver one of Indian cinema’s biggest films with ‘Ramayan’. Reportedly, filming for the project is expected to commence by the end of this year. Before this, the VFX team has started its work. While many grand sets are also to be prepared for the shoot.
