Bollywood Diva and Global star Priyanka Chopra met her long-lost actor friend Lara Dutta in London. They met after 21 years and celebrated and remembered their old days. The divas met on Saturday and shared pictures on social media sites.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared an adorable picture with Lara and Saira ( Lara’s Daughter) on Sunday. She captioned the picture as “21 years and counting.. friendships that can pick up at any given time… @larabhupathi and her most shining star. Saira you’re definitely your mum’s daughter. Adore you. So much love for these ladies. And so many memories. Also Missed you #Pradeepguha.”
Lara also posted the same picture on her Instagram and caption it as “Something’s in life never get old. Like sassy strong women and special friendship. This one for our dearest #PradeepGuha #reuniting #nextgen #friendship #whoruntheworldgirls “.

Both the divas look stunning yet simple. Priyanka was seen wearing a yellow dress in the picture. While Lara wore a pinstriped shirt.
These beautiful actresses had been friends for 21 years even before they join the industry. Priyanka and Lara first met each other during Miss India 2000 pageant. Lara won the Miss India title and Miss Universe crown in 2000. Whereas, Priyanka was the first runner-up at Miss India but won the Miss World crown later in 2000.
They both created history as it was the first time India won two beauty pageant titles. It was also the first victory on the international level consecutively.
After successfully winning the titles they both headed towards Bollywood together. Both starred together alongside Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The movie was titled Andaaz released in 2003 which was a romantic film.
PeeCee mentioned Pradeep Guha as well. He was the late producer and mentor of Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta. During the Miss India Pageant, he guided both this diva. When he passed on August 21 2021 both the actress expressed their grief. On social media for their former mentor.
Actress Dia Mirza was also part of the Miss India pageant in 2000. Alongside Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. She was very happy and excited to see her friends having a reunion. Dia commented on Priyanka’s post and wrote “So glad you girls met.”
On the work front, Lara Dutta was seen in the recently released Ranjit M Tewari directorial ‘Bellbottom’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor. The movie is a thriller and mystery. And it was directed by Ranjit Tewari. It is based on real events of hijacking a plane in 1984. Lara played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She very portrayed the character. She also did a series by the name Hundred where she was seen playing the role of a policewoman.
Whereas Priyanka has an impressive lineup of projects in her kitty that includes the much-awaited film Matrix 4′. Apart from that, she will also be seen in ‘Text For You’ and the recently announced Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, which will mark actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s return as a director. She is currently in London for the shoot of her upcoming series ‘Citadel’. Backed by Avengers: Endgame directors Russo Brothers, the series also stars Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden. She will also be seen in an Indian wedding comedy with Mindy Kaling, who is also producing it.
