Pratyusha Banerjee was an Indian Television actress . She has appeared i many television serials as well as in reality shows. She gained huge popularity when she played the lead role in Balika Vadhu in 2010.Balika Vadhu was her first leading character in the TV soap-opera. Where Pratyusha earned her household name “Anandi”. Banerjee also participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 7 (2013).
Biography
She was born on 10 August 1991 I Jamshedpur Jharkhand. Pratyusha was always very talented since she was a kid and was very active when she was in school. Born and brought in a Bengali Hindu family she was a very happy and jolly kid . Her father was a social worker and runs his own NGO. Pratyusha’s zodiac sign is Leo.
Career
Initially she began her career by working in a supporting role in Rakt Samband. Than later played the role of Vaani (she was the best friend of Akshara in the serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai) .

Her biggest break was the lead role in 2010 Indian television series Balika Vadhu as an adult version of Anandi. Pratyusha replaced Avika Gor. According to the actress, she was chosen via a talent hunt, surpassing the contestants Nivedita Tiwari from Lucknow and Ketaki Chitale from Mumbai. Following the success of the show Banerjee participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5). However, she left the dance show, stating that she was not comfortable during the dance rehearsals.
Than in 2013 she joined Bigg Boss season 7 where she was one of the most competitive contestant in the BB house. She was very much love during the Bigg Boss show. Than later she appeared in Power Couple along with her partner Rahul Raj Singh. Banerjee had played vital roles in Hum Hain Na Sasural Simar Ka and Gulmohar Grand.
Death
On 1 April 2016 Pratyusha Banerjee was admitted to hospital due to her condition after an attempt to suicide. Pratyusha Banerjee, who was a famous actress and been working on various projects, just went to commit suicide. Pratyusha Banerjee was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence. Her close friends said that she was in depression, about her relationship and was worried about her future in her relationship. Her Friend, Director Vikas Gupta Addressed Media about her relationship with her Boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and said “She was doing very well professionally. She had no shortage of work she had earned a lot of money and her money was taken care of by Rahul. She was not in depression at all. The only problem was she was in a disturbed relationship,”.
Pratyusha Close Friend Leena Was Come On Front and Told media About Her Phone Call With Pratyusha A Day Before Her Suicide. She Said. “Prior to the day she committed suicide, she called me at 3 a.m., and she was crying very badly. She said, ‘I can’t live my life like this, and I want to come out of it’. She said she wants to fight back and wanted to come out of it. She just wanted to get married to Rahul and have a child, this was her plan,”
