Famous businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 by Crime Branch Mumbai after the case was filed against him in February 2021 for filming and producing Porn videos through apps. He is declared as a ‘Key Conspirator’ and has been in judicial detention along with his partner Ryan Tharp, who is also arrested for the same. Officials found no involvement of Shilpa Shetty yet and also confirmed the same. Shortly after the arrest of Raj Kundra, several celebrities came up with their statements, some in favor while some against him.
Poonam Pandey, Kangana Ranaut, Mika Singh, and others spoke up about Raj Kundra’s arrest in a pornography case. Poonam Pandey gave her official statement which reads, “At this moment my heart goes out to Shilpa Shetty & her kids. I can’t imagine what she must be going through. So, I refuse to use this opportunity to highlight my trauma. The only thing I’ll add is that I have filed a police complaint in 2019 against Raj Kundra and subsequently registered a case at the honorable high court of Bombay against him for fraud & theft. This matter is sub judice, hence I would prefer to limit my statements. Also, I have full faith in our police & the judicial process.”
She also revealed that a criminal case was filed by her against Raj Kundra and his company for continuously revealing her pictures and videos on the app even after the contract ended. She accused him of forcing her to do things she didn’t want to do and that he leaked her number along with a text which said “Call me, I’ll strip for you”
Defending Raj Kundra on accusations made by Poonam Pandey, Gehana Vasishta, one of the heroines in Raj’s film and also an actor in the OTT show ‘Gandi Baat’, stated that she has worked with Raj and none of the films was a porn film. She also told that she was never forced to do anything against her will and that she was paid for her performance. Gehana Vasishta, in turn, accused Poonam Pandey of making complete nude MMS videos with her husband, and also about her statement in the 2011 World Cup to go all bare if India wins the cup. Gehana Vasishta was also arrested for the same case and is currently on bail.

Kangana Ranaut says about Bollywood that, “All that glitters is not gold.” Mika Singh also stated about the apps of Raj Kundra where he seemed to support him by saying that since he has no such knowledge of these apps but he has seen one of the apps where he didn’t find any such thing as porn or nudity and that it was a simple app.
Raj Kundra has to be kept in judicial custody till July 23rd for adult film racket and since pornography is illegal in India, this too is against the laws
