PM Modi Mann ki Baat HIGHLIGHTS: Don’t forget Covid-protocols during festivals, says PM

Prime minister Narendra Modi while addressing his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat on Sunday has urged people to follow coronavirus guidelines and protocols as the virus has not gone away yet. He also urged people to protect themselves against the virus during the upcoming festivals. 

“I congratulate you all for all the upcoming festivals. During festivals and gaiety, do remember that corona is not yet gone from amidst us. You don’t have to forget corona-related protocols.”the PM said. 

The Prime Minister urged people to read the story of Kargil ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas tomorrow and asked people to salute the brave hearts of the war of 1999.

Modi said every Indian felt proud watching our contingent in full glory at the Tokyo games and asked people to cheer and support and cheer for team India.

PM Modi also said he is unable to take up all the inputs he receives for Mann Ki Baat but he forwards many of them to the concerned government departments.

Modi also talked about apple cultivation in Manipur and mentioned the efforts of an engineer named TS Ringphami Young. He also spoke about Andhra Pradesh’s weatherman Isak Munda.

Referring to August 15, PM Modi said this year’s Independence Day is special since it is the 75th Independence Day of the country.

In his last ‘Mann ki Baat’ address on June 27, PM Modi had urged people to shed vaccine hesitancy and get vaccinated in large numbers. “Please get rid of fear. Sometimes people may get a fever, but it is very mild and lasts only for a few hours. Avoiding the vaccine can be very dangerous. You’re not only putting yourself at risk but also your family and the entire village,” PM Modi had said.

PM Modi had also urged the people to motivate and cheer for the sports persons representing India at the Tokyo Olympics.
