Outlander Season 6 is back in production as of February 2021! The series was originally supposed to start filming in the spring of 2020 but has been postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The celebrities returned to Scotland in late 2020 to get pre-production clothing fittings, but the shooting was delayed because of an increase of COVID-19 instances in Europe, in addition to inclement weather. Despite heavy snow, Starz declared the series had returned to filming in February 2021. There is a cute video being put up to help alleviate some of the Droughtlander withdrawals.
With production only just beginning — without a guarantee there will not be delays down the line — there is not any official premiere date set yet. If everything stays on schedule, we’re probably looking at a late 2021 or ancient 2022 yield for the sequence. What we do understand is that Season 6 will probably be 12 episodes.
