Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “We Are BACK!! @Outlander_STARZ Season six shooting! Feel lucky to be working at this time, production is ensuring everybody is secure and secure. Now simply have to manage the snow…”
The series was initially intended to be filmed in 2020 but has been postponed on account of this coronavirus pandemic. Talking on This Morning back in June,” Sam explained: “We’re supposed to be shooting at this time and of course things are still marginally up in the atmosphere, but I believe you understand, I am optimistic that we are gonna wait before we know it. They are putting plans in place”
What will Outlander season six be about?
The series typically covers one book at one time, with season five covering events in the sixth and fifth novels, The Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Therefore, it’s anticipated that season six may delve deeper into the events of book seven, An Echo at the Bone – but do not worry! There will be nine novels in the show so we are not running out of stuff anytime soon.
Season six will probably examine the wake from the magnificent season five finale, which saw Claire rescued by Jamie and her family after being kidnapped and attacked. Meanwhile, Roger and Brianna locate themselves stuck in the past with their son Jemmy, despite attempting to go back to the current moment.
