Co-creator Josh Pate disclosed he was working on a script for a potential season two and an official launch date has now been disclosed.
He had been talking about a new season with Netflix before the first season was even released on the streaming platform.
Pate stated: “Netflix had greenlit us to compose some [season 2] scripts, so we’ve been working on that for a couple of months now.
“Ever since we started, we always viewed it as something which was likely enjoying a four-season, maybe five-season series, but certainly four seasons.”

This may be music to the ears of most avid fans who fell in love with John B’s personality, and viewers were left feeling psychological having noticed the group of friends grow even more powerful.
Fans have been calling for a brand new show on Twitter, with one enthusiast stating: “Outer Banks should hurry up with two.”
Is The Outer Banks Season 2 Release Date Confirmed?
