Ira Khan, Aamir Khan’s daughter, is marrying her longtime partner, Nupur Shikhare. The Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, is the venue for the wedding. Here are five things to know about Nupur Shikhare, the future husband of Ira and son-in-law of Aamir Khan:
1. Childhood
On October 17, 1985, Nupur was born—interestingly—one year after Aamir made his mature Bollywood film debut in Ketan Mehta’s coming-of-age drama Holi. Pune is where he was born, and Mumbai is where he finished schooling.
2. Career
Nupur is a coach for fitness. In addition to Ira, his future wife, he is also credited with Aamir and actor Sushmita Sen’s physical changes. He uses his Instagram account, @nupur_popeye, which is named after the well-known cartoon character known for his massive biceps and healthy habit of eating spinach, to share videos and images of his exercise regimen.
3. Ira and Nupur’s relationship
Ira was living with her father at the time of the COVID-19 lockdown when she met Nupur, who was training Aamir. When the two started posting photos of themselves together on their individual Instagram accounts, their love quickly became viral on social media. In September last year, Nupur proposed to Ira, and the couple documented their special moment on Instagram. In November of last year, during their engagement party, Nupur got down on one knee and proposed to Ira once more.

4. Nupur Shikhare family members
The performing arts are also connected to Nupur’s family. Pritam Shikhare, his mother, is a skilled Kathak dancer. Renee Sen, a future actor and daughter of Sushmita Sen, has also received training from her.
5. Nupur and Ira’s marriage
Tuesday night, the night before their wedding, Nupur Shikhare posted a set of photos to Instagram with the caption, “One more day of being your fiancee @khan.ira. I adore you tremendously.” Ira Khan responded with a heart and a hug emoji. The pair are pictured eating together in the final two images.
