Fans are waiting for Code Geass Season 3 since Season 2 dropped its finale in September 2008. There has been no update on its evolution because the next season had its finale.

Code Geass Season 3 seems to have no future. As there has been no debate about the creating of Code Geass Season 3, fans and anime lovers have given up all expectations by the author Ichirō Ōkouchi.

Actually, Ichirō Ōkouchi is not considering working on Code Geass Season 3 as the protagonist Lelouch isn’t alive. Thus, instead of creating a third year, he chose to make a film titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection.

One of the primary reasons for producing the film Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, in accordance with the manager, Gorō Taniguchi, would be to explore the paths that were never exploited by the anime.
