No Game No Life Season 2: Release Date, Plot Details & Everything The Fans Should Know!

Anime, a kind of animation that originated in Japan, consists of shows and movies typically based on preexisting mangas or light books. With anime, one thing that’s for sure is that there’s never a lack of shows to see. Everybody has their favorites, whether it’s Attack on Titan, Akira, Cowboy Bebop, or anything in the enormous assortment of genres. And yet one super popular series is No Game No Life, according to the light publication of the same name by Yū Kamiya.

The series is two step-siblings named Sora and Shiro who, along with a group of unbeatable gamers, set out to locate and conquer the god of matches and take over his throne. A god named Tet challenges them to a game of chess, and surprisingly, they win. As a reward, the god offers to send them to a planet called Disboard, where all issues are exchanged with matches. They say yes, believing it’s a joke, and as you can imagine, the problem starts from there. The mild book series started in 2012 and has been extremely popular, with the author, and his wife Mashiro Hiiragi, adapting it into a manga series the next year. Not long after that, a Japanese animation studio called Madhouse produced the anime television adaptation.

The anime No Game No Life aired its first season in 2014 and ended on a massive cliffhanger. Fans of the series clamored for a second season of the anime series. Now six years later, a new season hasn’t been published. However, will there ever be a season 2 of No Game No Life, someday?

No Game No Life Season 2 Release Date

When is no match no life 2 coming out? Despite the success of the first season, the creators have not declared a second season as of yet.

Season 2 Plot

A second has to be fulfilled to wrap up the character arcs. In the end, with a further 11 races still to be conquered, the plotline has many gaping holes that have to be filled.

And staying on this note, Sora and Shiro inherited Elkia at a state of deprivation, but at the end of the first season, things were up. With the future of the dominion still on the line, the duo has lots of unfinished business.

However, the biggest piece that has to be resolved is the function of Tet. After all, he’s the all-ruling God of all Dashboard who happened to be defeated by Sora and Shiro before their birth into the gaming world.

Surely, Tet would want to put that right, or even better, they have a chance to wrestle the reigns and replace Tet as the brand new God/God’s of Dashboard.
