Motorola isn’t planning on moving away from the budget segment of smartphones and the newly tipped specifications of Moto E20 are an example of that. Evan Blass, the renowned tipster took to Twitter to share some of his renders for the upcoming Moto E20 smartphone.
If you go by the leak history of Blass, his renders are almost identical to the soon-to-be-released smartphone. Moto E20 (supposedly codenamed Aruba) appeared on geekbench listings and the specifications include an above-average configuration with a UnisocSoC.
As I mentioned above, the specifications hint towards an entry-level smartphone with bare minimum storage and RAM configuration. The phone listed on geekbench indicates that the new Moto E20 could come with a UnisocSoC and octa-core processor with a 2GB or 3 GB RAM module. Despite average specifications, the listing described the smartphone running on Android 11, which is impressive for a budget device. As for the scores, the smartphone managed 1467 points and 4621 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The phone appears with the codename XT2155-1 and codename Aruba on the geekbench listing.
According to Evan Blass renders, the phone could come with a 6.5 Inch HD plus display and a thicker bezel scheme on the front. The backside could pack a dual-camera module with a 13-megapixel primary sensor. No macro sensor is showcased in the renders. A fingerprint sensor may be also present on the backside with the honeycomb design on the plastic back. Its battery is expected to be around 4000 mAh and there are very minimal chances for the smartphone to support fast charging. There is a mention of the USB Type-C port which is better than micro USB for data transfer.
The phone could have an expandable storage option and dedicated voice assistant button which is common across all Motorola smartphones. The sim card type isn’t clear with the renders and the images circulating in forums.
Moto e20 hasn’t made it into the consumer market and does not have an official announcement. Saying anything about the pricing is difficult as smartphones are getting expensive in India. Redmi Note 10 hiked its price for the fifth time today and with this trend, Moto E20 could be priced above 8000. Global pricing is always less than what Indian consumers pay for the same device.
