The condition of Lovlina’s house was not very good and her father’s monthly salary was very less. Due to financial constraints, the father could not even bring a track suit for Lovlina, but Lovlina never insisted.
Lovlina’s luck favored her and when she was in class 9, she was selected in the Sports Authority of India. From there, preparations to train them started. Lovlina was very good at martial arts. That’s why the attention of the coach went to him and he was selected by the Sports Authority. He was encouraged by getting good training in the early days of the game and his game improved very quickly.
Has represented Commonwealth Games
Lovlina has won the bronze medal in the World Boxing Championships held in the year 2018 and 2019. Apart from this, she has won silver in the first Indian Open International Boxing Tournament held in Delhi and gold medal in the second Indian Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati. Along with this, she has also won the bronze medal in the 2017 Asian Boxing Championship. Lovlina has also represented the country in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Also, she became the sixth person from Assam to receive the Arjuna Award in 2020.
