Miguel Herran is a Spanish actor, social media influencer, and filmmaker. He is most famous for playing the prominent character of Anibal Río Cortes in the Netflix series Money Heist, and, Christian Varela in the show Elite. Born on 25 April 1996 in Malaga, Andalusia, Spain, Miguel Herran’s age is 25 years old. His father’s name is Manuel Herran and, his mother’s name is Belen De La-Herran. He completed his education at William Layton Laboratory.
Miguel began his career in the year 2015 with the film A Cambio de nada (or Nothing in Return). He essayed the lead role as Dario and played with actors such as Antonio Bachiller, Antonia Guzman, Miguel Rellan, etc. Later, he went on to play and serve as an assistant director in a short film Nomeolvides in the year 2016. In the same year, he played the role of Soldado Carvajal in the movie 1898, Our Last Men in the Philippines.
In the year 2017, Miguel got the chance to work for one of the lead characters Río/Aníbal Cortés in the TV series Money Heist. It was the turning point in his career. Subsequently, he has appeared in the film The Invisible Guardian under the name Miguel Angel. Further, he performed in the next Netflix Elite series under the name of Christian Varela Exposito.
He has performed in various hit movies like Some Time Later in 2018, Alegria, Tristeza in 2018, and Hasta el Cielo in 2020. Miguel appeared as Ray, Terrorist, and Angel in the respective movies. Due to his outstanding performances, he has been nominated for multiple awards. He has won Goya Award for Best New Actor.
