It has been a long time because FX’s Mayans M.C. closed out its second — and most recent — season. The Sons of Anarchy spin-off aired its season two finale back in November 2019, and the show has not aired a new episode since that time.
Season 3 of Mayans M.C. is shaping up to be somewhat different from its initial two seasons as well. The spin-off collection, which happens two-and-a-half years following the show of the Sons of Anarchy finale and follows the work of the Mayans Motorcycle Club in California, was co-created by Elgin James and Sons of Anarchy founder Kurt Sutter. But, Sutter was fired by the show close to the tail end of its second season, and James took over as sole showrunner on the show for season 3.

There will, nevertheless, be some key members out of Mayans M.C.’s first two seasons which will not be returning for the next. Antonio Jaramillo and Ada Maris aren’t expected to appear at Mayans M.C. season 3, following the deaths of Riz and Dita in season 2.

What’s The Show About?
Mayans M.C. occurs two-and-a-half years after the events of Sons of Anarchy and can be put hundreds of kilometers away in the literary California border city of Santo Padre. The show focuses on the battles of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a potential in the charter of this Mayans M.C. based on the U.S.–Mexico border. EZ is the talented son of a proud Mexican family, whose American dream was snuffed out by cartel violence. His need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended and can not escape.
