Caterpillar House in Caramel, California held the shooting for 2 weeks. A black and white 35mm film serviced the shooting. For the whole duration of 2 weeks, they stuck to local Covid 19 safety protocols. The entire cast and crew quarantined for 2 weeks, prior and after the shooting. Yet the actors did the dressing and mic-ing on their own. A chef quarantined along with them. Additionally food was individually wrapped and served to avoid minimal contact.

Netflix bought the distribution rights for this movie for 30 million dollars. The movie releases on Feb 5, 2021. The streaming platform plans to arrange an Oscar campaign on its behalf.
