Malayalam language superhero film ‘ Minnal Murali’ is all set to premiere on Netflix. On Thursday (3rd September), Netflix made an official announcement that it had acquired this Indian Superhero film. It said that it will be Coming Soon on the biggest streaming platform- Netflix.

Minnal Murali is directed by Basil Joseph. Basil has also directed other South- Indian films like Kunjiramayanam and Godha. It is written by Arun Anirudhan and Justin Mathew. The film will be released in several Indian languages– Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and English.

Minnal Murali Cast
Tovino Thomas is the lead actor in the movie. He is playing the role of the Superhero. Other actors in the film are Guru Somasundaram, Femina George, Shelly Nabu Kumar, Sneha Babu, and Aju Varghese.
An Emotional Story Packed with Action
In a media interaction, director Basil Joseph said ” We wanted to create a superhero that people could relate to and connect with on an emotional level. Though the essence of a superhero movie is action, our genuine efforts were focused on having a strong narrative that could stand on its own while backing the action. The film is going to be a really exciting one and I am looking forward to the release.”
The Minnal Murali Storyline
It features the story of an ordinary man who turns into a superhero named “Murali“. He gets struck by lightning and is then gifted with superpowers.
This genre is not popular among Malayalam filmmakers. But steadily it is becoming a genre that Filmmakers are exploring.
When is “Minnal Murali” Releasing?
Since Kerala is having a surge in covid cases, it is unlikely that the cinemas are going to open any time soon. According to some sources, the film “Minnal Murali” will release on 10th September 2021. However, Netflix has not announced any official release date as of now.
